At Art Gamblin Motors we know that there a Chevy Colorado to match the exact mid-size truck needs of any buyer. This is because the Colorado offers a wide range of customization options including three different engines—all with excellent capability! At the same time, this powerful engine delivers impressive segment leading fuel efficiency with up to 25 highway MPG!
The next engine offered by the Colorado is the Vortec 3.7L 5-cylinder inline DOHC 15. The 3.7L engine delivers an impressive 242 horsepower—that’s the kind of excellent power you expect from a 6-cylinder engine. But the Vortec 3.7L offers this high level of power with a five cylinder engine; while also managing to deliver the fuel efficiency usually only found a 4-cylinder engine with up to 23 highway mpg! The last engine in the Colorado lineup is the outstandingly powerful Vortec 5.3L OHV V8 engine. This impressive Vortec engine delivers 300 horsepower and up to 20 highway mpg, making it both powerful and efficient.
Two transmission options are available for the Colorado: the fun 5-speed manual and the smooth shifting electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission. Both include overdrive gears. Both transmission options allow for responsive and precise control as well as a high level of efficiency. The Colorado’s impressive range of powertrain options allows for a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds with certain configurations!

2012 Silverado 1500 4.8 & 5.3L V8 Engine

2012 Silverado 1500 suspension At your  Bonney Lake Chevrolet Dealer we are always proud to see the many Silverados out in our community and elsewhere—whether the Silverado is getting work done on a local farm, hauling supplies to the jobsite or just towing a boat to the Lake—the Chevy Silverado does the job well. The great range of powertrain options available on the Silverado means that you will be able to customize a truck that fits your exact economic, power and performance needs. 2012 Silverado 1500 powertrain The second powertrain available on the Silverado 1500 is the Vortec 4.8L FlexFuel V8 engine. The Vortec 4.8L is standard on all LS, LT, 4WD WT Extended Cab Long Box and WT Crew Cab. The LT Extended Cab Long Box model doesn’t come with this engine standard and the 4.8L is available on all WT models. The Vortec 4.8L V8 delivers 302 horsepower and has variable valve timing—which makes the engines performance smother and more consistent. The Vortec 4.8L engine is also efficient with its EPA estimated 20 highway MPG—impressive for a powerful truck!2012 Silverado 1500The next and most popular powertrain option for the Silverado 1500 is the Vortec 5.3L V8 with FlexFuel and Active Fuel Management. This engine is standard with an aluminum block on XFE models and is mandatory on 4WD WT, LT and LTZ models. An iron block is standard on 2WD LTZ, but available on 2WD WT and LT Extended and Crew Cab models. The 5.3L Vortec delivers 315 horsepower, which gives the Silverado excellent performance with great tow and haul capacity. The 5.3L has such a high level of performance due in part to its variable valve timing system which allows for smooth and consistent operation. Amazingly, the Silverado achieves an impressive EPA estimated 22 MPG in the highway! The Silverado’s excellent efficiency is due to superb overall design and engineering including features like Active Fuel Management—which uses only half of the engines cylinders under light-load conditions to improve fuel economy.  2012 Silverado 1500The Silverado 1500 has two available transmission options. The standard WS, LS and LT model transmission is a 4-speed automatic with tow/haul mode. The other transmission option is the 6-speed automatic with tow/haul mode and tap-up tap-down shifting. 2012 Ford F-150 vs 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

2012 Silverado 1500 vs Ford F-150
At your Sumner Chevrolet Dealership we recognize that the Chevy Silverado is the best truck in its segment, hands down. The Ford F-150 just can’t compete with the Silverado on any level. The Silverado has greater power, performance, handling, safety and functionality. Below is a short sampling of some of the ways the Chevrolet Silverado outperforms the Ford F-150:

Safety: For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Silverado are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Ford F-150 has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Silverado’s standard pretensioning seatbelts sense rear collisions and tighten the front seatbelts accordingly to protect passengers from injuries including whiplash. The F-150 doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system. The Chevrolet Silverado has Daytime Running Lights that keep it visible under all conditions. The F-150 doesn’t offer Daytime Running Lights. These are just a few of the superior safety features in the Silverado that the Super Duty fails to provide.

Warranty: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Silverado 40,000 miles longer than Ford covers the F-150! The Silverado’s corrosion warranty is also one year longer than the F-150’s. Clearly Chevrolet is more confident in the quality and durability of the Silverado than Ford is of its F-150. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs Ford F-150
Fuel Economy and Range: On the EPA test cycle the Silverado gets better fuel mileage than the F‑150. An engine control system that can shut down half of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Silverado 5.3/6.0 V8’s fuel efficiency. The F‑150 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

Suspension and Handling: For better handling and stability, the track on the Silverado is wider than the F‑150’s. Engine vibration in the Silverado’s cab is almost totally eliminated because of the Silverado 5.3/6.0 V8’s liquid-filled front engine mounts. The F-150 uses inferior solid rubber engine mounts. For better traction, the Silverado has larger standard tires than the F‑150. The Silverado’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the F‑150. This further contributes to the Silverado’s superior handling.  In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes hard enough to stop their vehicle fast enough. The Silverado has a standard brake assist system to detect emergency braking situations and will then automatically apply maximum braking immediately. The F‑150 doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.

Interior space and Storage: The Silverado has more passenger volume than the F-150. The Silverado’s cargo box is larger than the F‑150’s and the Silverado has stake post holes; which allow the containment of tall loads. The F‑150 doesn’t offer stake post holes.

Payload: The Silverado has a higher standard payload capacity than the F‑150—allowing you to more work with a Silverado than an F-150.

Awards: The Silverado was chosen as one of Car and Driver’s “Top Five Trucks” four times. At Art Gamblin Motors, we know that the Chevy Silverado simply dominates its segment.

So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Silverado with us here in Enumclaw Washington and experience the Silverado’s high level of power and performance for yourself. You will surely appreciate our welcoming pressure-free environment staffed by friendly expert sales associates. Most importantly though, we have been family owned and operated for over 40 years, which is why we have always treated all our customers as family. 2012 Ford F-350 SUper Duty vs 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty

Silverado HD vs Ford F-350 Superduty At Art Gamblin Motors we recognize that we sell the best heavy duty truck on the market, hands down. The Ford F-Super Duty just can’t compete with the Silverado HD on any level. The Silverado HD has greater power, performance, handling, safety and functionality. Below is a short sampling of some of the ways the Chevrolet Silverado HD outperforms the Ford F-Super Duty:

Safety: For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Silverado HD are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Ford F-Super Duty has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Silverado HD’s standard pretensioning seatbelts sense rear collisions and tighten the front seatbelts accordingly to protect passengers from injuries including whiplash. The F-Super Duty doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system. The Chevrolet Silverado HD has Daytime Running Lights that keep it visible under all conditions. The F-Super Duty doesn’t offer Daytime Running Lights. These are just a few of he superior safety features in the Silverado HD that the Super Duty fails to provide.

Warranty: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Silverado HD 40,000 miles longer than Ford covers the F-Super Duty! The Silverado HD’s corrosion warranty is also one year longer than the F-Super Duty’s. Clearly Chevrolet is more confident in the quality and durability of the Silverado HD than Ford is of its F-Super Duty. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado HD
Fuel Economy and Range The Silverado HD has 10 gallons more fuel capacity than the F-Super Duty Diesel Short Bed’s standard fuel tank! The Chevrolet Silverado HD also has superior fuel economy compared to the Ford Super Duty. The combination of a much bigger gas tank and better fuel efficiency allows the Silverado to out work the Super Duty for much longer, while the Ford requires more frequent stops to refuel.

Drivetrain: The Silverado HD has a genuine four-wheel drive system, which uses a four-wheel traction control system to direct engine power to the specific axle and wheel that has traction. This allows the Silverado HD to keep running—even if only one wheel has traction! The F-Super Duty doesn’t have real four-wheel drive. The Ford can easily get stuck, despite having one or more wheels with traction. The Silverado HD also has a great deal more standard payload capacity than the F-Super Duty. The Crew Cab Silverado HD 3500 4×4 has a payload capacity of 4,190 pounds compared to the Ford Super Duty’s greatly reduced 3,260 pounds of payload capacity! That means the Silverado HD can get work done that the Super Duty just can’t handle.

Suspension and Handling: The Chevrolet Silverado HD’s independent front suspension is lighter than the F-Super Duty 4×4’s solid front axle. This gives the Silverado HD greater capacity to react to the road. This makes both the ride and handling of the Chevy better than the Ford. For an even smoother ride and better handling the Silverado HD’s wheelbase is longer than the F-Super Duty’s.

Brakes and Stopping For better stopping power the Silverado HD’s standard brake rotors are bigger than the F-Super Duty’s rotors. The Silverado HD’s superior rotor size and other factors allow it to stop shorter and faster than the F-Super Duty.

Tires and Wheels: The Silverado HD offers tires with better handling because they have a lower profile that gives a stiffer sidewall than the F-Super Duty’s optional tires.

Interior: The Silverado HD Regular Cab has more front headroom and more front legroom than the F-Super Duty Regular Cab. The Silverado HD Extended Cab also has more front head and leg room well as more rear head and leg room than the F-Super Duty SuperCab. The Silverado HD Crew Cab has more front room than the F-Super Duty SuperCrew. Thus, the Chevy Silverado HD is the more specious and comfortable choice than the Ford Super Duty. The Silverado HD has an all welded cargo box as opposed to the Ford Super Duty’s bolted cargo box. This means that the Silverado HD has a hugely reduced chance of having rust and corrosion throughout its life than the F-Super Duty.

Convenience: When the Silverado HD LTZ reverses, both rearview mirrors tilt from their positions giving the driver better rearview vision. The F-Super Duty’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust when backing up. The Silverado HD LTZ has standard automatic dimming rear and side view mirrors that automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them. The F-Super Duty’s side mirrors don’t dim.

Awards: The Silverado was chosen as one of Car and Driver’s “Top Five Trucks” for 4 years! The F-Super Duty has never been a Car and Driver “Top Five Truck” pick. Motor Trend selected the Silverado as their 2011 Truck of the Year. The F-Super Duty has never been chosen as Truck of the Year.

At Art Gamblin Motors, we know that the Chevy Silverado HD is simply unparalleled in its segment. So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Silverado HD with us here in Enumclaw Washington and experience the Silverado HD’s high level of power and performance for yourself.
