Third Annual Corvette Show

From the classic generations to Stingrays, we love Corvettes at Gamblin Motors.  To see some of these models in person, join us on Saturday, September 9 for our third annual Corvette show. We are teaming up with the Tacoma Corvette Club to bring an array of Corvette models to the Plateau community.

Come down to our main store (1047 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw) to view these beauties and vote for the People’s Choice award winners. We will open at 10:00 a.m. for the public to begin viewing and voting.  Voting closes at noon, but the Corvettes will remain on display until 2:00.  While we are counting the ballots, enjoy music, giveaways, and a great lunch.  Awards will be handed out at 1:30.

Interested in bringing home one of the trophies? Enter your Corvette through the Tacoma Corvette Club for a $20 entry free. We hope to see you Saturday.

Seattle International Auto Show

The Seattle International Auto Show did not disappoint this year. The show was held at Century Link Field over four days in the beginning of October. Over 400 vehicles were on display, and the latest 2016 models were in the spotlight. 75 vehicles were also available for a test drive. From cars and trucks, to SUVs and electric vehicles, there was something for everyone to see. Kids were even able to test drive small electric cars on a track. Future teen drivers could take a chance at Toyota’s Teen Drive365, a virtual reality behind the wheel. It was an event for the whole family. Everyone enjoyed checking out the multi-million dollar display of the latest luxury and exotic vehicles from Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Ferrari, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Smart, Tesla and Volvo. Don’t miss this event next year.

Buick’s New Reveals: Avenir and Cascada

At the North American Auto Show in Detroit, Buick unveiled two new stunning cars. The first to roll down the red carpet was the 2016 Buick Cascada Convertible. Buick has not manufactured a convertible in over a quarter of century, and this car is worth the wait. This new convertible four leather seated car offers Buick’s attention to detail and advanced technologies.

The Cascada will come equipped with OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot to keep you connected on the go. The top is a traditional fabric roof that can be lowered in 17 seconds while the car is moving at up to speeds of 31 mph. Heated steering wheel and seats will allow the driver to extend the top-down season. A turbo four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission will allow for a sporty drive. Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick said, “It’s a car that will delight customers with its fun spirit and help drive the momentum that’s fueling Buick’s success.” The Cascada is expected to hit our showroom in early 2016.2016-buick-cascada

Everyone loves a surprise at an auto show and Buick delivered with the Avenir concept car. Avenir is French for future and this concept car suggests a future for the Buick brand that is exciting and luxurious. Building on Buick’s 112-year heritage, the Avenir concept strikes the pose for the future of Buick. The sedan was designed to catch your eye and it caught the eye of the auto show.

2016-buick-concept-avenirThe Avenir was presented with the 2015 Eyes on Design Award for “Best Concept Vehicle” at the North American International Auto Show. “Avenir embodies Buick design, which enters on effortless beauty and presence without pretense,” said Ed Welburn, vice president of General Motors Global Design. Production information is still to be released, but we are looking forward to selling this beautiful car.

Seattle Auto Show 2010

The Seattle Auto Show was a blast.  There was a great showing from all the major manufactures.  They even had the flying car from Harry Potter!  Cars don’t get much better than that.  Instead of posting a million pictures of what we thought was cool we brought our flip camera with us to show you around some of our favorites.  Of course we are biased and thought the GM vehicles were the best but there was some cool things that we liked.  Here is a top 10 list of the cars and things we liked about the 2010 Seattle Auto Show.

10.  Scion Booth – with the music pumping it was a cool area of the show

9. Nissan Leaf

8. Audi R8 Spyder

7. The Chevrolet Volt – The 2011 Motor Trend Car of the Year – CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO OF THE VOLT

5.  Cut in half Subaru

3. The free hats that Toyota gave  out

2. Cadillac Exhibit – Cadillac has some good looking vehicles!

1. GM Drive Option – GM had a dozen or so vehicles in the parking garage where you could go out and test drive a vehicle that was in the auto show.  I thought this was a clever idea and it was very popular as there was a long line of people trying to get themselve behind a new GM vehicle.
