2012 Hyundai Elantra vs 2012 Chevrolet Cruze

2012 Chevrolet Cruze vs Hyundai Elantra Safety: The front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Cruze are height-adjustable, and the rear seat shoulder belts have child comfort guides, which helps the belt to properly fit children. The Elantra only has front height-adjustable seat belts and no child comfort guides. The Elantra child locks have to be individually engaged manually at each door. The Cruze, however, has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver’s seat and to know when they are locked. The Cruze also has standard OnStar, which uses a GPS receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you’re locked out, help find your vehicle if it’s stolen or even automatically send emergency personnel to your location if needed. And those are just a sampling of what OnStar offers. The Hyundai Elantra doesn’t offer a GPS response system or anything comparable to OnStar. Moreover the Elantra only offers 6 airbags as opposed to the Cruze’s impressive 10. 2012 Chevrolet Cruze  Quality, Reliability and DurabilityThere are more than 7 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Hyundai dealers, making it easier to get service under the Cruze’s excellent warranty. The Chevrolet Cruze’s engines use a cast iron block for durability. The Elantra uses an aluminum block for its engine, which is more likely to warp and crack than cast iron.

Power and Performance: The Cruze’s available ECOTEC 1.4L turbo engine produces 17 lbs.-ft. more torque than the Elantra’s 1.8L engine. The Cruze’s engines produce their top torque and horsepower at lower RPM than the Elantra as well.  The Cruze’s turbo does 0-60 in 8 seconds, while it takes the Elantra 8.9 seconds to do 0-60. According to the EPA, the Cruze Eco Manual gets better fuel mileage than the Elantra with 42 highway mpg versus only 40 highway mpg. The Cruze also holds 2.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Elantra, granting the Cruze a greater maximum traveling range than the Elantra.2012 Chevrolet Cruze
Drive and Handling The Cruze has larger 16” standard tires than the Elantra’s standard 15” wheels; and the Cruze LTZ has 18” tires compared to the Elantra Limited’s 17” tires. This is part of the reason why the Cruze has better traction than the Elantra. The Cruze also includes a standard spare tire. A spare isn’t even available on the Elantra—leaving you stranded if you get a flat. Tested by Car and Driver, the interior of the Cruze is quieter than the Elantra as well.
InteriorThe Cruze has nearly an inch more rear headroom and more than two inches more rear legroom than the Elantra. The Chevrolet Cruze also has more cargo room than the Elantra due to its superior interior design and larger trunk space. The Cruze LTZ has an automatic temperature control system. The Elantra offers noting comparable to this.We at Art Gamblin Motors are confident that the Chevrolet Cruze, which won two awards in Kiplinger’s 2011 car issue, is unmistakably superior to the Hyundai Elantra.

Safety:For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Impala are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Dodge Charger has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Charger doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system. The Chevrolet Impala also offers daytime running Lights to help keep it more visible to other cars. The Charger doesn’t have the same daytime running lights available. The Impala also has OnStar available, which uses GPS and cellular systems to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, track down your vehicle if it’s stolen and even send emergency personnel to the scene if there is a collision. The Dodge Charger doesn’t offer anything comparable to OnStar; which means help may not come for you nearly as fast as it would in a Chevy Impala.

2012 Ford F-150 vs 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

2012 Silverado 1500 vs Ford F-150
At your Sumner Chevrolet Dealership we recognize that the Chevy Silverado is the best truck in its segment, hands down. The Ford F-150 just can’t compete with the Silverado on any level. The Silverado has greater power, performance, handling, safety and functionality. Below is a short sampling of some of the ways the Chevrolet Silverado outperforms the Ford F-150:

Safety: For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Silverado are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Ford F-150 has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Silverado’s standard pretensioning seatbelts sense rear collisions and tighten the front seatbelts accordingly to protect passengers from injuries including whiplash. The F-150 doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system. The Chevrolet Silverado has Daytime Running Lights that keep it visible under all conditions. The F-150 doesn’t offer Daytime Running Lights. These are just a few of the superior safety features in the Silverado that the Super Duty fails to provide.

Warranty: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Silverado 40,000 miles longer than Ford covers the F-150! The Silverado’s corrosion warranty is also one year longer than the F-150’s. Clearly Chevrolet is more confident in the quality and durability of the Silverado than Ford is of its F-150. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs Ford F-150
Fuel Economy and Range: On the EPA test cycle the Silverado gets better fuel mileage than the F‑150. An engine control system that can shut down half of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Silverado 5.3/6.0 V8’s fuel efficiency. The F‑150 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

Suspension and Handling: For better handling and stability, the track on the Silverado is wider than the F‑150’s. Engine vibration in the Silverado’s cab is almost totally eliminated because of the Silverado 5.3/6.0 V8’s liquid-filled front engine mounts. The F-150 uses inferior solid rubber engine mounts. For better traction, the Silverado has larger standard tires than the F‑150. The Silverado’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the F‑150. This further contributes to the Silverado’s superior handling.  In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes hard enough to stop their vehicle fast enough. The Silverado has a standard brake assist system to detect emergency braking situations and will then automatically apply maximum braking immediately. The F‑150 doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.

Interior space and Storage: The Silverado has more passenger volume than the F-150. The Silverado’s cargo box is larger than the F‑150’s and the Silverado has stake post holes; which allow the containment of tall loads. The F‑150 doesn’t offer stake post holes.

Payload: The Silverado has a higher standard payload capacity than the F‑150—allowing you to more work with a Silverado than an F-150.

Awards: The Silverado was chosen as one of Car and Driver’s “Top Five Trucks” four times. At Art Gamblin Motors, we know that the Chevy Silverado simply dominates its segment.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze Reliability and Design

2012 Chevrolet Cruze

We here at your Chevrolet Puyallup dealership are committed to offering our customers cars that exceed the expectations of modern standards for quality, reliability and durability. Chevy is proud to present the Chevrolet Cruze, which manages to redefine what quality means for its segment with innovative leaps in superior design. The tough body-on-frame platform of the Chevy Cruze also helps to provide a rigid structure common among heavy-duty trucks and SUVs. The high quality and durability of the Cruze goes right down to its very core with its powerful body-frame-integral design. This means that the frame and body of the Cruze is one strong cohesive unit which also contributes to outstanding handling and a quite comfortable driving experience.

Pivotal areas of the Cruze such as the A and B pillars, side beams and rockers are constructed of high-strength steel and many of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze’s parts are constructed of hydroformed steel. On top of that, the Cruze uses a cast iron block and aluminum cylinder head as well. These quality materials allow the Cruze to be stronger, more durable, and light. These are just a small sampling of the high-grade materials used throughout the Cruze. The parts used in the Cruze, such as platinum tipped spark plugs and extended-life engine coolant; make room for greater durability in the Cruze and very infrequent maintenance intervals. The electric power assist steering system in the Cruze also eliminates the need for any steering fluid—thus adding to the low level of maintenance required. Many anti-corrosion measures have been taken in the Cruze, such as the use of 2-sided galvanized steel and electro coat primer, which stop corrosion and rust from forming on your car.

Chevrolet also offers the best premium limited warranty with all of its vehicles, including the Cruze. The warranty includes: 5-year/100,000-mile limited protection with no deductable—which includes courtesy transportation and roadside assistance; and 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper coverage; all of which is fully transferable. 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Performance and Economy

2012 Chevrolet Cruze Production

Here at your Bonney lake Chevrolet Dealer, we are proud to present the brand new 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. We know that power, performance and efficiency of a vehicle are all key considerations for customers, which is why this vehicle strikes a perfect balance between all three of these standard requirements. Essentially it can be described as versatile. The Cruze offers two different powerful ECOTEC engines that use constant variable valve timing systems that result in a promising high performance. While the Cruze is indeed one of the largest cars in its class it manages to maintain the best-in-class fuel economy! The standard LS Cruze has the 1.8L DOHC 4-cylinder engine. This commanding and efficient 138 horsepower engine grants 90% of its total torque over a broad spectrum from 2200-6200 rmp. This means that the Cruze grants excellent responsiveness and performance at any speed. All and all the Chevy Cruze Reliability is astronomical.

The ECOTEC 1.4L DOHC turbocharged 4-cylinder engine comes standard on Cruze LT, Eco and LTZ. This engine gives you the efficiency of a small displacement engine and the power of the turbocharger, giving the Cruze the power usually reserved for much larger, less efficient vehicles. The turbocharger is integrated into the exhaust manifold, which makes its full power available without any delay. This 1.4L ECOTEC engine, while powerful and high performing, is also one of the most fuel-efficient 4-cylinder engines in the world! A 6-speed manual transmission is standard with the LS, LT and Eco Cruze. The expertly engineered synchronizers in this transmission make shifting easy and smooth, while offering multiple overdrive gears.

The 6T40 6-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission is standard on the 2012 Cruze LTZ and is available in LS, LT and Eco Cruze as well. This automatic transmission is smooth and capable by itself and also has Driver Shift Control that allows the driver to use tap up and tap down manual shifting at will (paddle shifters). Advanced adaptive shift controls in the transmission intelligently employ lower gears when slowing down or coasting on an incline. While all models of the Chevy Cruze achieve have excellent fuel economy, the Cruze Eco maximizes fuel economy to the highest degree. This has made the Cruze Eco the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered car in theUnited States with 42 miles per gallon on the highway. This is due to incredible aerodynamic design that offers a very low drag coefficient of 0.29; race car inspired underbody panels and electronically controlled air shutters to further increase aerodynamic efficiency. These are just a few examples of the many innovative features that allow the Cruze Eco to get such outstanding gas mileage, while still offering great power and performance.
