Alan Has a Deal That Can’t Be Beat

Cruze red LS

Here is one of the BEST DEALS I can ever remember from Chevrolet.  It entails an alternative form of financing called a lease.  Before you say leasing is not for me, here are some people who lease their vehicles.  Three of my own children and the Comptroller, Service Manager, Finance Managers and Office Staff at Art Gamblin Motors all lease their vehicles.  For most people, leasing a new Cruze makes perfect sense.  With this two year lease you get over $1,500 more in rebates, lower interest and at the end of two years you can buy the car for a predetermined value, trade it in, or if you don’t have equity, just return it in good condition.  I hear people say, “I don’t own my vehicle if I lease.” Remember, if you have a conventional loan, you don’t own your car, the bank does.
Why would Gamblin and Chevrolet lease a new Cruze for $139 per month for two years?  The answer may be that there is a new body style change coming soon and we are betting you will want to drive that in two years.  Think about it.  Leasing makes sense for my family and it probably makes sense for someone in yours too.

Chevrolet Introduces 2017 Cruze Hatch

The 2017 Cruze Hatch offers the design, engineering and technological advancements of the 2016 Cruze sedan in a functional, sporty package with added cargo space.

The 2017 Cruze Hatch offers the design, engineering and technological advancements of the 2016 Cruze sedan in a functional, sporty package with added cargo space.

Ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show, Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Cruze Hatchback. Developed with all the technologies and dynamic driving attributes of the all-new 2016 Cruze sedan, the new hatch adds a functional and sporty choice for customers. It joins Colorado and Trax as the latest Chevrolets to push into new segments.

The Cruze Hatch has the same, class-leading 106.3-inch (2,700 mm) wheelbase as sedan models, but features a unique roof and rear-end structure – including wraparound taillamps and an integrated spoiler at the top of the liftgate. It opens to offer 22.7 cubic feet (643 liters) of cargo space behind the rear seat. With the rear seat folded, cargo space expands to 47.2 cubic feet (1,336 liters).

“Chevrolet continues to innovate with the 2017 Cruze Hatch,” said Alan Gamblin of Gamblin Motors. “It will be sure to delight customers with its functional, sporty package offering distinctive styling, greater efficiency and easy-to-use technology.”

An all-new, more rigid and lighter architecture is the Cruze’s foundation for driving dynamism, while also playing a significant role in safety and efficiency. It is more than 200 pounds (91 kg) lighter than the previous-generation model due largely to a body structure that is 100 pounds lighter and an engine that’s 44 pounds (20 kg) lighter.

The Cruze lineup is offered in L, LS, LT and Premier – and a more expressive RS package, featuring unique front and rear fascias, rocker panels, rear spoiler, fog lamps and – on the Premier model – 18-inch wheels.

The 2017 Cruze Hatch will be offered in LT and Premier trims, and with the RS package.

2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Bolt EV at the Consumer Electronics Show, fulfilling its promise to offer a long-range, affordable electric vehicle for the masses.

The Bolt EV, which will go into production by the end of 2016, will offer more than 200 miles of range on a full charge. It also features advanced connectivity technologies designed to enhance and personalize the driving experience.

Connectivity Simplifies Ownership Experience

The Bolt EV benefits directly from the suggestions and ideas of Volt owners and features technologies that make owning a long-range electric vehicle easy.

The Bolt EV’s connectivity innovations will provide smart, personalized solutions for managing the driving experience. For example, in the future an accurate driving range projection will be based on the time of day, typography, weather and the owner’s driving habits.

Bluetooth low-energy – designed specifically for the Bolt EV to minimize energy draw – seamlessly connects a smart phone to the car while the owner approaches the vehicle.

Many of the Bolt EV’s driver-focused technologies are supported by OnStar 4G LTE, which turns the Bolt EV into a Wi-Fi hotspot, giving owners easier access to apps and services via a high-speed wireless connection.cq5dam.web.1280.1280

Chevrolet Camaro Wins Motor Trend Car of the Year

The all-new Gen Six Chevrolet Camaro won the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year awards on Nov. 16, 2015.

“With the Camaro being named as the 2016 Motor Trend Car the Year, it proves that Chevrolet is building vehicles with great versatility that meet the wants and needs of a wide-spread customer base,” Alan Gamblin.

Motor Trend editors praised the Camaro for its lighter weight, which contributes to “world-class sports car performance and dynamics.”  Six all-new powertrain combinations are offered on the 2016 Camaro, including a standard 2.0L Turbo and an available, all-new 3.6L V-6 in LT models, and the 455-hp LT1 6.2L V-8 in the SS – making it the most powerful Camaro SS to hit the roads. Each engine is available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Less weight and more power combines for performance success. With weight savings of up to 390 pounds (177 kg), the all-new Camaro resets performance benchmarks for the segment. The all-new, 455-hp (336 kW) Camaro SS coupe – the most powerful Camaro SS ever – sprints from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 12.3 seconds, when equipped with the all-new eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.

Vehicle mass has been reduced between 223 and 390 pounds, depending on the model, creating a more nimble, responsive driving experience. A dramatic, sculpted exterior accentuates the leaner, stiffer platform and slightly smaller dimensions. Meticulously tuned in the wind tunnel, the new Camaro’s exterior contributes to performance through reduced aerodynamic lift for better handling while enhancing efficiency.

Community Coat Drive

As the temperature begins to drop this season, many of our children desperately need coats. During the month of November, Gamblin Motors collected new, or clean, gently used coats in any size (infant-adult) at our showrooms. There is also a drop off at Work-Sports and Outdoors. This was a great opportunity to help our community.coatdrive 4

2016 Chevrolet SS Designed for Performance

cq5dam.web.1280.1280 (3)

Building on the performance-oriented updates made to the Chevrolet SS last year, the 2016 model features several exterior enhancements that reinforce its presence on the road.

A revised front fascia features new, vertical ducts at the outer edges to direct airflow over the front wheel openings to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The fascia also incorporates new LED signature lighting, while new, functional hood vents and new-design 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels contribute to a stronger appearance for the rear-drive sports sedan.cq5dam.web.1280.1280 (4)

“The 2016 SS design changes offer a well-balanced mix of performance cues and premium details to drivers,” said Alan Gamblin. “We anticipate that the SS will attract both returning and new performance enthusiasts.”

What hasn’t changed is the SS’s unique blend of performance, comfort and spaciousness. It features a 6.2L V-8 engine under the hood and turns out an SAE-certified 415 horsepower (310 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (563 Nm), and offers a six-speed manual transmission or a paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission.cq5dam.web.1280.1280 (5)

A new, dual-mode exhaust system for 2016 complements the V-8 engine with quieter performance at low engine speeds and a more muscular engine note at wide-open throttle.
